With fall in the air we are looking forward to hunting season! Do you have a youth ages 11 and older? If so they are required to obtain their firearms safety course, and we know all too well how fast these courses fill up. So here is one more last minute opportunity to get your child certified prior to the MN Firearms Deer Opener.

What you need to bring with you to class:

• A copy of the students birth certificate

• A copy of your field day voucher from your online MN DNR class

• An UNLOADED .22 rifle if you have one (if not we will provide one for you)

• DO NOT bring ANY ammunition with you, it will all be provided

• OPTIONAL - if you would like to shoot a round of trap and have a 12 or 20 gauge please bring it along…again do not bring ANY ammunition.

Please dress as though you were going hunting, and dress appropriately for the weather conditions. We will be both indoors and outdoors. No open toed shoes (hiking type boots recommended).

We ask that upon your arrival you leave ALL firearms in your vehicle and first bring your parent/guardian in with you to get signed in and all appropriate paperwork completed. We will then instruct you on what to do with your firearm(s).
