TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
Bundle up and join us for an unforgettable winter adventure, Intro to Dog Sledding!
Dog sledding, or “mushing,” is a thrilling sport with deep historical roots as a traditional method of transportation in the north. During this hands-on experience, families will meet a team of Alaskan Huskies and their musher, learning all about the history, training, and teamwork behind this incredible activity. Our mushers will walk us through how to start your own team, the commands used on the trail, and the gear and preparation required for both dogs and mushers. You’ll see firsthand the bond between these hardworking dogs and their handlers and the pure excitement they have for the snow!
Weather permitting, participants will even get the chance to ride behind the sled dogs for a short trip by sled or ATV, depending on conditions. Expect wagging tails, happy barks, and plenty of dog kisses along the way.
Dress warmly and prepare to spend the entire event outdoors. This experience offers a unique window into the world of dog sledding a day your family won’t soon forget!
